This lidded jar is handmade on the potter’s wheel from a light beige stoneware clay. The lid and inside are finished with a glossy glaze, while the exterior remains unglazed, highlighting the natural texture of the clay.

DIMENSIONS
The jar measures 9 cm in height and 8 cm in diameter. It is the narrower version shown in the photos with the two jars.

MATERIAL
Stoneware clay from the Westerwald region in Germany. For both firing processes, renewable energy is used.

COLOUR & CLAY
Light beige clay with a glossy glaze on the lid and inside.

GOOD TO KNOW
All pieces are carefully handmade in my Hamburg studio. Small variations in size, colour and form are natural characteristics of handmade ceramics and make each piece unique. The ceramics are food safe and dishwasher safe, although hand washing is recommended to preserve the beauty of each piece.

Unglazed surfaces have a deliberately raw and tactile finish. To preserve the material, it is recommended not to leave unglazed areas in prolonged contact with oily foods or strongly staining liquids.
