This limited-edition collaboration began with a conversation between friends. Last winter, while gathered around the Why Table, designed by Zia and Obscure Objects, we realised it deserved a special ceramic collection of its own. The idea grew naturally from our shared appreciation for material, colour, and thoughtful design. Although our visual languages are distinct, we found that, in conversation, each brought the other into fuller expression.

I always love seeing my ceramics in Zia's interiors. This collection became an opportunity to bring her soft brutalist aesthetic into dialogue with my own approach to form and material. The cup, coaster, and plate are made from a deep black clay that I rarely use, but which felt entirely at home in Zia's visual world. The circular motif echoes the geometry of the table while remaining unmistakably my own.
